Bethani pink sweater

Every once in a while I buy a whole bunch of yarn thinking that I make myself a sweater but then I never get around to it, or realize the colour I bought just isn't my vibe. So this year I went ahead and asked my two best friends and my mom if they liked any of the yarns I had laying around and made things for them! The featured picture sweater (in pink crochet) I made for my friend Bethani. I used Knit Picks Brava Sport in the colour Cotton Candy, and used the crochet pattern Samhradh Cardigan. It's honestly so plush and cozy - such a great pattern. Bethani has worn it in entire pink outfits which just makes me so happy.

Red

The next sweater I made was for my mom. She liked this shade of berry red I had in a cotton yarn - Hobbii Twister Solid in Marsala. I used the Cider Mill pattern by Amy Herzog. Amy's website is great because the sizing is totally customizable - you measure your body, input your knitting gauge, and it generates a pattern perfectly for your body and yarn. I knit this one on my knitting machine.

Grey

Finally I made a sweater for my friend Renata. Unfortunately this one kind of went sideways when I realized that I actually had two dye lots of the grey yarn, so the sweater wasn't going to be one solid colour. Luckily I was able to kind of make it a raglan contrast sleeve kind of thing, so it looks purposeful instead of just a switch to another colour half way down. I used a pattern for a machine knitted raglan sweater, but had to re-do the math so much for my own yarn that I'm not even going to bother linking the pattern as it doesn't really look like it at the end. I knit this one in some more Hobbii Twister Solid, in the shade Light Grey.
